Touch of the Tropics Garden Centre and Nursery.

We were so fortunate to have the skill set, patience and dedication of Hamish Anderson, to get us over the line to open our Garden Centre in Whenuapai last year (2021)

What we thought to be a relatively streamline procedure to get our consents, turned out to be very different.

We ended up facing so many extra challenges, more reports to file, unusually long delays due to the pandemic, and this ended up in the end to be quite a complex situation. Hamish handled it extremely professionally for us, coupled with his charm and sense of humour and his vast knowledge within his industry, this resulted in him succeeding on our behalf, to overcome the many complexities we faced.

We would totally recommend him and if we ever needed to extend our operation, we wouldn't hesitate to use his services again in the future.

All of his recommendations have worked.
All of his recommendations have worked.

We were referred to Hamish and from the moment we met him it was fantastic to have him on board with our application. We initially asked if he could get 3 units put on our site. He looked at the plans and said 4 units would be possible without compromising the size of the units . He also suggested a layout he felt would satisfy Council. His suggestions have worked and we couldn’t be happier with the result. Hamish has definitely made the process as smooth as possible.

We went to Hamish to help us change the use of a property we had purchased to be used as an office for Harper Digital. He was able to craft an argument that meant the consent sailed through Council and we were able to move the business into the property with no down time. He kept us up to date with the happenings, we got consent and couldn’t be happier with the outcome.
