Hamish is the Director and Senior Planner of Cohere Planning. Cohere means to form a unified whole, and his vision for Cohere Planning is to help his clients navigate the complexity of planning and resource consents more easily.
Over the last 24 years, Hamish has worked in both public and private practice throughout New Zealand. His experience in planning in public and private practice across New Zealand enables him to successfully navigate the varying rules and regulations across the regions.
Since 2006, Hamish has operated as a planning consultant and has worked with a wide range of clients from small bespoke planning requests through to large multi-unit developments.
His experience in land use development including: residential; industrial; retail; office/commercial; and rural projects enables him to provide the necessary guidance as required.
His expertise enables him to prepare applications for private and public sector clients as well as support Councils in the processing of land use and subdivision consent applications and notices of requirement for infrastructure and development projects.
This is supported by the ability to prepare and present evidence at both Council hearings and the Environment Court.
